In the past month, my husband and I have noticed a new and unexpected behaviour in our cat, Luna. It seems that she has appointed herself my champion. On a couple of occasions now, our dog has been laying at our feet, quietly minding her own business while we watch a movie together. Luna can be found perched on the back of a sofa chair, snoozing. All good, so far. However, if I let out a yelp in response to something that startles me on the tv, Luna, our normally affectionate, loving feline, launches herself off the chair and attacks Willow like a furious creature from hell. Poor Willow, soft marshmallow and all 'round people-pleaser that she is, is all wild eyes and wiggling backside, totally confused and left to wonder what in blue blazes just happened. It continues to happen for a while, until Luna calms down. Luna has always been the alpha here, but this is something new. Understandably, Willow has become quite wary of Luna. Luna, on the other hand, is like "'Sup, dawg?" Never a dull moment.

I'm a Superficial Dabbler - I know a little bit about a lot of things and I'm an expert at none of them. I’m a city girl with a country soul, a curious nature, and a very short attention span. I believe that animals are angels wrapped in fur, come down from heaven to model unconditional love.
I have decided not to display the awards that I receive. If you like my blog, leave me a comment. I read and appreciate them all. It's the connection with the friends I make here that I treasure the most.
