Overheard in our kitchen this morning:
The Frenchman: "How can I get my heart to stop fluttering every time I'm around you?"
Me: "Eat more donuts."
...clearly, I'm not the romantic in the family.
Happy Valentine's Day, my friends.
May your day be filled with an abundance of love,
no matter the source.

Happy Valentine's Day ~ another first holiday to celebrate in your new home!
You bad, naughty, oh so funny girl!!!! :) You do something romantic for your sweet frenchman right this minute missy!!!
But, thank you for the sentiment anyway...I'm hoping so too. And may you as well, you unromantic you.
Haha!!! Actually...eating more donuts might just cause the heart to flutter more!!!
You've made me laugh out loud! That's hilarious. It sounds like the kind of exchange that would happen here between Hubby and me.
So you say, but I don't believe it for a second.
I probably would have said something about taking heart medicine :-)
You're too funny....
Enjoy some valentines snuggling in your new home!
so sweet... did I ever tell you about the year we were on our way home from a doctor's appointment with our daughter and it was our anniversary? We stopped to get gas for the car, our daughter was hungry so and they had doughnuts so my husband brought three out and said "happy anniversary." I set mine down for a moment to go back in and get her a drink for our daughter. When I came back out, he had eaten all of his and most of mine. I looked at him and said "you ate my anniversary gift...?" He started laughing, we all did... he apparently forgot it was mine and just kept eating. How's that for romantic?
Awww how sweet...and you do realize that men rarely say that after the courting stage.
Way to go Frenchman.
Jen
OMG...how sweet is that????
Oh my stars! Bawhahahaha! You are too funny my friend!
Well I think I am finally back in the 'land of the living'. Perhaps we will be able to meet up for coffee soon?
Hope you are keeping well and I wish for you a wonderful long weekend!
